MVI Selection Process

Selection will be made by conducting Written Examination of 300 Marks and Interview of 150 Marks.

Written Exam Pattern & Syllabus (Objective Type)

01. General Study (Paper-I) 100 2 Hours

Matric Level:- Arithmetic, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Geography, History, Economics and Political Science.

In addition: Indian Constitution, Five Years Plans, Freedom Movement and Current Affairs like scientific progress, national / international / award / language / book / script / capital / currency / sports-player important events etc.

02. Automobile / Mechanical Engineering (Paper-II)

(Select Only One Subject)

100 2 Hours Syllabus (Automobile Engineering Diploma OR Mechanical Engineering Diploma) Prescribed by State Board of Technical Education Council, Bihar.
03. Motor Vehicle Rule & Regulations (Paper-III) 100 2 Hours Bihar Motor Vehicle Rule,  1992, Motor Vehicle Rule, 1988 and Central Motor Vehicle Rule 1989
Total 300

There is not negative marking

Interview

Total Marks: 150

Only candidates qualified in written exam with minimum qualifying marks will be invited for Interview. Evaluation of their entire personality, knowledge of subjects, Current Affairs, Creative and Positive Both Exam and their suitability to work in transport department, will be done in this interview.
